Some oceanographic musical nonsense.
"Known" for such numbers as The Sound of Sonars, Roll, Pitch, and HEAVE and Nautilus? (inspired by the Jim Salestrom ballad, Nautilus), Starboard Larboard began, as many things do, with people at sea for too long making improvised musical instruments out of discarded parts of scientific instruments and rewriting the lyrics to classic rock songs with an ocean science slant.
Fast forward to land, getting real instruments involved, and making sounds that could be confused for actual music. Now many recordings from their debut album, Quarantined at Anchor: The Best of Starboard Larboard (Yet Recorded), unfortunately exist.
